Pin board re vamp

Ciao Bella’s, it’s Bessie!

It is three weeks into school and already assessments have hit us. Organisation is a must to stay sane in this crazy world of high school, so today I will show you how I decorated my pin board to keep me motivated throughout the school year.

My pin board was looking overcrowded and really busy so I decided I needed to change it.

First I cleared everything off it:

Then I pinned up some wrapping paper for a nice background:

DSCN0136.JPG

Then I added cute pug pictures and this cute little quote card to make me smile while I work:DSCN0139.JPG

Then I put up my calendar and timetable for the month:DSCN0138.JPG

This is what it looked like after I had added a couple of pictures and other nick nacks:

DSCN0144.JPG

I love it! It needs a bit of work, but it is much better then what I had before. I love the cute pug pics and zig zag background. I enjoying decorating and making it a bit more me. I love how easy and cheap it turned out to be!

I hope you liked this post, thanks! Byyyyyeeee 🙂

Think Pink – February Favourites

Hey guys, it’s Maja. How’s life? As we are now about in the middle of February, I thought it would be suitable to post a monthly favourites 🙂 I have noticed that rose gold pinky colours have been quite popular lately, so I thought it would be fun to base my favourites around the colour scheme. Hope you enjoy reading 🙂

#1 Pandora

This month I have really been loving my Pandora bracelet. I tend to where it more during the warmer months, and as it is Summer hear in Australia I have been wearing it a lot. I haven’t got that many beads to put on it yet, but I’m planning on expanding my bead collection so I can add more to my bracelet.

#2 Alexa Chung’s It

I bought this book a few months ago while shopping with friends and I really love the uniqueness of it. After reading the preview on Wattpad, I was determined to buy the book. I have to say it was different to what I expected (probably don’t let anyone under 12 read it), but I do like the style of it and how it is just so random everything fits together. It isn’t really a story, more a collection of writing by Alexa Chung mainly about fashion, beauty and the fashion industry. Definitely recommend it!

#3 Bath bombs

After many years of showering, I have finally introduced myself back into the world of baths. I actually am not really a bath person to be honest. I always get impatient when the tub takes for ever to fill, stop the water too early and then get annoyed that there isn’t enough water. The only thing I actually like about baths are bath bombs. This bomb is a lavender scented one I received ages ago that I still haven’t used but am planning to. Bath bombs are just really cool and fizzy, I just can’t get enough of them!

#4 Chanel Nº5 perfume

My awesome grandma gave me this about a year ago. I have been too scared to use it because I seem to think I’ll drop it or something. I don’t know, it’s just cool.

#5 Pink and metallic nail polishes (Middle: Kester Black Left and right: Revlon)

I have recently gotten into nail polish and nail art once more. I’m pretty crappy at any sort of nail art, but I’m giving it a shop again and trying to master some simple, cute designs. I also just really like a plain, coloured nail. I think it has a very nice and sleek finish.

#6 Bangle by The Kimi Doll Collection

I recieved this bangle as a birthday present a while back, and I really love it. It has a gold rim and a beautiful purple patterned side. I love it a lot!

Thank you guys for taking the time to read this post! I hope yo enjoyed it 🙂 Catch you in my next post!

River Walk

Hello, it’s Maja. How are you? I live really close to a river with a massive loop walk around it, so a few weeks ago Bessie and I went on a walk with our younger brothers to get some exercise and take some photos. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post, it was a lot of fun to take these photos and create this post. See ya next time! 🙂

8 hacks/uses for Washi Tape

Ciao Bella’s. Today I bring you the knowledge of what to do with Washi Tape 🙂

If you are a compulsive buyer like me and you have about 5 or more rolls of this stuff lying around your house and you have no idea how to use it for. Then this is something you should keep your eyeballs on ( not weird at all….).

Use #1  Labelling

DSCN0020.JPG

Whether it’s labelling for school, work or home. This stuff does the job. All you need is a roll of this stuff and either a pen or marker. Simply put your Washi Tape on the object and then with your pen or marker add you initials or name. You don’t even have to add any words . You could just add the Washi Tape so you know what is yours .

Use #2  Spice up your photos

DSCN0047.JPG

Add Washi Tape as a colourful border for your picture if you don’t have a frame. You could do this for your locker and it would be a frame and be stuck on as well :).

Use #3 Crafts

Use Washi Tape for scrapbooking or card making as a colourful touch to your already beautiful art. Speaking of art maybe even create some Washi Tape art using simply paper and Washi Tape .

Use #4 Evenlope seal

DSCN0054.JPG

This use is great for making your card look a little more colourful and exciting.

Use #5 Pretty up your Frames

DSCN0055.JPG

Give your frames some colour and life to your photo frames . This could also be a great for a gift as it is cute and thoughtful. I decorated my frame with green Washi Tape. P.S the dog in the frame is my dog Jack 🙂

Use #6 Cord holders

DSCN0057.JPG

It is always so annoying when you wrap up your cords of neat and then they uncurl them selfs and it is a big mess again. Simply secure your curled up cords with Washi tape and this should do the job.

Use #7 Decorate your phones/USB’s

DSCN0059.JPG

I just add Washi Tape to my phone and USB for this hack. I think that they just brighten up your devices so easily. You could good the step further and put a clear cover over your phone so that it is not only pretty but protected as well.

Use #8 Tea lights

DSCN0062.JPG

Give your tea lights by wrapping them in Washi tape and giving them a splah of colour.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day. I hope you liked this post. Byyyyyyyyeeee 🙂

TBR: 2016 addition

How’s life everyone? It’s Maja here with my To Be Read list for 2016! I am quite the reader, so I have developed a list of books I plan to read throughout the year ahead…

#1 We All Looked Up Tommy Wallach

I bought this book probably half way through last year and haven’t really got around to reading it yet. I picked it up in Dymocks mainly because of its cool cover, and from reading the blurb it sounds very good. We All Looked Up is about how a group of very different teenagers have two months to really live and make the most of their life – before a meteorite hits the earth. Sounds like my kind of story.

#2 The Hobbit J. R. R. Tolkien

My little brother actually found this book in a second hand store, and – being the nice, caring sister that I am – am planning to steal it and read it. I actually have no idea at all what The Hobbit is about, I have seen 30 minutes of the first movie and got bored… But from what I have heard, the book is much better than the film, so I’m very excited to read it.

#3 Me and Earl and the Dying Girl Jesse Andrews

The movie was absolutely incredible, so I have very high expectations for this book. Basically, the story is about an insecure teenage boy named Greg who has a friend called Earl (who is hilarious, might I add) and lives near a girl who has been recently diagnosed with leukemia. Greg’s mum insists that he makes friends with the girl, Rachel, to support her while she uptakes chemotherapy. The movie was really quirky and heart warming, and I am looking forward immensely to reading the book.

#4 A Thousand Pieces of You Claudia Grey

This book was given to me as a gift from a relative last year, and again, I haven’t got around to reading it yet. The only knowledge that I have of this book is that it is about time and dimensional travel, which sounds absolutely awesome. I love going into stories virtually blind, so this will be a great read.

#5 Fangirl Rainbow Rowell

I have heard soooooo much praise for this book and author, and I am embarrassed to say I still haven’t read it… well, I was reading it, until it become over due at the library and I had to return it. I have read one book by Rainbow Rowell, and book called LandLine that was phenomenal, so I really want to finish FanGirl. The story is about a girl called Cath who is starting college with her identical twin. Cath is a pretty well known FanFic writer, and cares more about the world of Simon Snow (the story’s Harry Potter) than about going out and getting a boyfriend. From how much I have read, the book is hilarious, so I am determined to finish it this year.

#6 The Book Thief Markus Zusak

I watch the movie with my mum once it was released, and as she had a copy of the book I have planned to read it for a long time. I have always been quite interested in World War 2, and The Book Thief is a story about the Nazis and how the War affected families. The movie was very good, and I’m looking forward to reading the book.

#7 Lola and the Boy Next Door Stephanie Perkins

The first book in this series, Anna and the French Kiss, was probably the sappiest, typical romantic book I have ever read. But I loved it. And, after searching every library in my hometown, I still haven’t found the sequel. Yet. This series really is awesome, so if you are like me and love chick lit, I seriously recommend reading these books.

#8 Eleanor & Park Rainbow Rowell

Like FanGirl, I have read soooo much good praise for this book. I think it is just this author… Rainbow, you are amazing 🙂 I have read little snippets of this story and have been desperate to get my hands on it for the longest time. A story about two misfits who bond over graphic novels and music, I am already in love with the plot. And I have’t even read it yet.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this post, I hope this TBR also gave you inspiration to get your book on this year. Maybe there might be a book favorites post in the future… 🙂 Catch you in my next post. Maja xo

The Fangirl: How the internet both made and broke us

How’s life amazing readers? Hope you are all prepared for possibly the most relatable rant ever; how the internet both made and broke us.

Ever since I got my laptop two years ago, my social life has been replaced with emails, I watch YouTube instead of exercising and have been introduced into the emotional, hormonal world of the fangirl. People say that Tumblr is a deep, dark hole with no escape – which is true – but honestly, the whole internet is. You stand on the doorsteps of Google, only an innocent twelvie with no knowledge of what could be behind the colourful, inviting doors. Then you search one thing. And another. And another. Then you join a fandom. You create social media accounts. You discover bands. YouTubers. Celebrities. You discover fanfic. You spend hours just surfing the web, unable to resist the beauty of the internet.

Then you remember you have homework.

Before high school, I would spend my days having play dates with my friends, going to parks, playing boardgames with my siblings, begging my parents to let me watch TV. Now days I’m begging my parents to invest in unlimited internet. I like to call my laptop-free times BC; before computer. In the years of BC, life was much simpler. My fangirling consisted of dancing in front of the TV to The Wiggles and singing along to Play School. I would refuse to listen to any music not sung by a female (because, when you are 7, boys are from Jupiter to get more stupider. Duh.) and got mad when mum packed me a healthy school lunch. Now, my laptop is my child. Like a mother, I never want to be separated from it. I also like to give it a healthy lunch of electricity everyday. I like to think I’m a good laptop mother.

Sometimes I think the internet has made we fangirls even more emotional and hormonal than your average teenager. Things such as fan fiction has taken PMS to a completely different level. Random emotional breakdowns, random mood swings, random rants, random everything. I blame my complete randomness on the internet. I actually have no idea what I am saying or what I am doing for most of the time, I just do it and when people are weirded out I blame Google. It is getting out of hand.

Along with the internet came YouTube, a website originally designed for people to share their videos with friends and family. Well, that went to plan. YouTube was soon forgotten as a place to share home videos, but the birthplace of internet stars and celebrities. Zoella, Justin Bieber, Pewdiepie, ThatcherJoe, SuperWoman … the list goes on forever. And, as I like to say, where there is a star, there is a fan club. These YouTube celebrities have several million fans everywhere. Some of them people who like their videos, but the majority is people who look at them as a way of life.

But seriously, if someone asked me a simple question like “Are you a human?”, I would say “No. I’m a Unicorn, Sugglet, Bro, Directioner and Belieber.”. If they don’t get it, just leave. If they say “Me too!”, cherish them forever. They are a precious human being who must never leave your side, for they are also a victim of the internet.

Hope you all were entertained by my rambling 🙂 To be honest, it was quite fun to write… catch you in my next post! Maja xo

Let’s start with a BANG ! (tips for 2016)

Ciao , bella’s. It’s Bessie 🙂 And this is my first ever post!

How to start ? Today I would like to talk to you about motivation and how to keep afloat throughout the year. I don’t know if it’s just me but I can stay motivated for about one term and then I lose it and become my normal messy , crazy untidy self. So I thought I would give you some tips on how to not lose it .

Tips:

#1  Balance

Make sure that throughout the year you keep balance between school , homework and life. If you are like me and can’t do anything without writing it down try a planner or even sticking notes. Try doing your least favourite tasks first like jobs or homework first so that your can look forward the fun stuff like tv and computer/phone time.

#2  Make a change

Try something different , new and maybe inspirational. Like changing up your room or a new laptop background or sticker. I like watching youtube, so maybe try a you-tuber that make you feel happy and motivated to move and do work ( work , work , work , work , working on my s#!t ) Luv ya Iggy  !

#3  Organisation

I know it’s hard but “WE CAN DO IT!”. I have always struggled with this area but over the years I have gathered techniques. If you are anything like me and you just shove everything away for 2 weeks and then realise where your favourite t shirt has been hiding for the last 1 million year and then you be like “Hello, it’s me“. The key is simply either being in the moment and having the right mindset of tidy and always tidy. But we all that that doesn’t work . My idea is that you as long as you know where things are then that is organised. Although there is nothing wrong with being neat and clean.

#4  Get out

Remember to have fun and get out more. Try doing things like going out with your friends or shopping. Maybe try things like nice walks or bike rides. The point being have some time out from the world and breath the fresh air.

#5  Positivity

The key to successful is in the outlook. Make sure when facing hardships you remember to be positive as not only will it make yourself achieve more and feel better but it will make others around you feel better. This tip is very helpful in tests, exams or stressful moments in life. Positivity should always be used in your everyday and not just in hardships as I believe it is the key to happiness.

Hope this was helpful and that you have a good 2016!

Sun, Sand and Sparkling Waters

How ya doin? It’s Maja here with my first individual post 🙂 *does a Snoopy happy dance*

Recently my family and I went to the beautiful Aireys Inlet with our family friends for an afternoon beach picnic. Aireys Inlet is one of my all time favourite beaches in Victoria, I just love the glistening waters, stunning caves and scenery. As I got my first proper camera for Christmas, I was very excited to snap some pics at the beach. Here are some photos I took during our beach walk. DSCN0084.jpg
